Gemotions

The clock on the wall seemed to be mocking her, ticking with a slow, deliberate cadence that amplified the thrumming fatigue in her chest. Miss Ramirez sighed, her gaze drifting over the chaotic classroom. The residue of a long, stressful week lingered everywhere.

A delivery person brought a large, unmarked box. Inside, she found a collection of her favorite teas, each one carefully labeled with instructions. There was also a small, leather-bound journal. A handwritten note was tucked inside: "For when the world feels too loud - Maria, from your Creative Writing class."

She felt a strange warmth spread through her chest. Pulling out one of the teas, she closed her eyes, the scent of lavender filling her senses.
